There has been a new voluntary PET FOOD RECALL involving Iams Proactive Health canned cat and kitten food. Although the food is not tainted, it is deficient in thiamine, if eaten exclusively, a food deficient in thiamine can cause many health problems including loss of appetite, salivation, vomiting, and weight loss. In severe cases, cats can develop a syndrome causing their neck to curve downward, circling to one side, falling over, an awkward walk or seizures. Customers are asked to throw out any cans with specific dates listed on the bottom of the can and contact Proctor & Gamble for a refund.
