Here at Franklin Falls Animal Clinic, we do see several species of Exotic or Non-traditional pets.  Each species has its own special dietary, environmental and social needs.  We encourage every owner to learn all they can about a particular pet before purchasing one in order to ensure each family finds a pet to fit their own family's lifestyle.   

All pets, no matter what species, should be examined at least annually in order to determine their overall health, discuss changes in management during changing life stages and address behavioral issues.  This is especially true of exotic species which tend to be much more like their wild ancestors than our cats and dogs.  This makes them much more capable of hiding symptoms of illness or decline until it becomes too late to treat them successfully.
